Riviera Maya has been always a spectacular destination and it’s time to bring the magic to Playa del Carmen.
How is the feeling of reconnecting this place with top-notch underground events as with the Departure Festival?
Getting to reconnect with this magical place and create our own transformative 5-day music and art experience is remarkable. The Riviera Maya has always been a spectacular destination that this genre of music has thrived in, and it’s thrilling to see all the artists’ positive reactions to what we’re bringing to the table. We’re hoping to transport underground music lovers and artists back to the Playa, invigorating the nostalgic experiences that they all once shared, but with our own twist.
These last two years have been difficult with the COVID-19 pandemic, and DEPARTURE will serve as an escape from the stress and struggles we’ve all experienced on a global scale. The goal of DEPARTURE is to encourage a collective reset. We’re hopeful that by the end of this experience, attendees will have been able to close the doors of the past and enter what will be an exciting future to come.
Brooklyn Mirage and The City Fox experience have built a reputation in New York city booking top DJs with outstanding productions and spaces. Partnering with Pollen, what can people expect of the fusion of these 3 in Mexico?
Expect an unforgettable experience that can’t be rewritten elsewhere. Alongside over 70 of the top names in house and techno, Brooklyn Mirage will transport its top-tier craftsmanship and vivacious spirit to the Playa del Carmen, complete with three custom-built stages that attendees can witness only at DEPARTURE.
The Brooklyn Mirage team will deliver their signature unparalleled production quality for the newly minted beachfront oasis, pulling inspiration from Playa del Carmen’s tropical surroundings and the bounty of Mexican culture. DEPARTURE attendees will also experience poolside day soirees, sunset beach fiestas, world-class dining and libations, and outdoor excursions while being provided with the option to stay at one of four luxury accommodations during the five-day event.
Departure is bringing Sven Vath, Damian Lazarus, Black Coffee, among much more headliners, compelling a list full of names and parties that other festivals in the world would like to have. Is this the final lineup? Or will there be new additions or surprises to follow up with new names?
Departure is excited to host a vast variety of underground purveyors from around the globe as our headliners. Attendees can expect exciting surprise guests, bracingly-original back-to-back performances, never-before-seen collaborations, and a host of stacked super-jams.
People want to know about tickets and packages. Can you give us a brief description of how tickets will be on sale and also about the ticket packages, and single tickets by day or party?
We currently have two options available:
- hotel stay & 5-day event bundle packages
- 5-day event passes (without accommodation.)
Hotel & 5-day event pass bundles give attendees the option to choose between four accommodation offerings nestled in the charming town of Playa del Carmen. Each hotel will play host to the DEPARTURE community, providing guests with not only five days and nights of comfort and relaxation but also daytime pool festivities, decadent food and beverage options, and much more. 5-day event passes are also available for those who want to reserve accommodations separately. All tickets are available on a limited first-come, first-served basis.
*Single-day event tickets will be accessible to the public at a later time, closer to the event date.
